Breadth. Rate comparison, schedules, booking, a load calculator, distance tools, and tracking across a wide carrier list. If your team lives inside one platform for the whole shipment lifecycle, that consolidation is genuinely valuable.

It is also well known, which matters when you need to explain to a customer where your data comes from.

Where the shape stops working

Platforms with many modules develop in the direction of their biggest revenue line. Tracking inside a marketplace is a feature that supports the marketplace. That shows up in small ways: how notifications are configured, how much control you have over what gets emailed to whom, how quickly a tracking specific problem gets attention.

If you only came for tracking, you are paying attention to a platform built for a broader job.
