What FourKites does well

Real time road visibility at scale, a very large carrier network, yard and facility management, and analytics that mean something when you are moving thousands of loads.

The ocean question

Ocean is on the platform, and it works. The question is priority. When a product serves road, rail, air and ocean, the roadmap gets allocated across all of them, and container specific problems compete with everything else.

Those container problems are specific: transshipment gaps, empty return recording, carrier by carrier event vocabulary, detention clocks that depend on two events published by different systems. They need attention from someone whose whole job is that.
